i thank You God for most this amazing
Today, as I drive home from my morning workout at the studio, there is no tightness in my chest, no turmoil in my belly. I have, like I do most days, a million and one things on my plate and a to-do list that's a whole page long.
But this morning, coasting home under he swollen grey belly of storm clouds in the struggling early morning light of the sun, my heart is content.
I feel awake, secure, confident... And most of all, grateful. There is no better way to start the day if you ask me.
I created this new class, Wide Awake!, sort of selfishly. I asked myself what elements *I* would like to have in my ideal early morning class.
I definitely want to sweat. I want to feel some muscle fatigue and have my heart pumping ecstatically.
But I also want the smooth, easy, grounding flow of yoga and a chance to awaken my body - and greet the day - with some sun salutations.
Then again, no workout feels complete to me without some dedicated moments to just Be. So I would need to include some joyful meditation. Some deliberate daily affirmations would rock, too.
Well, Wide Awake! was born. Without hesitation I placed it on the studio schedule on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 5:30 - 6:30 am.
And I think we have something here.
I think *this* is the way we all need to feel after a workout. I think *this* - the lightness, the eagerness, the gentle nag of day-seizing gumption - is how we all deserve to greet the day ahead of us.
I believe in this feeling. I believe in this class.
